Successful towns are known for creating great public spaces for people to 'hang out', socialize, and talk story. Turning Mamo Street into a pedestrian plaza for just one day - can turn around Downtown Hilo!  Multiple activities could be organized to attract people. Project for Public Spaces, a New York-based non-profit organization that helps turn communities into great places believes that one of the components to a successful place is to have 10 different things to do. How many different activities could we create on Mamo Street on a Saturday? Put on your imagination hat on and start visualizing what Mamo Street could look like. There are endless number of ideas that can be implemented that would attract almost everyone!  We can do this....]]></description>
