Sunday "Ciclovia" Bike Event
http://youtu.be/52k4FKLfc0sCities everywhere are starting their own Ciclovia events, closing down streets to cars and opening them up for bicyclists and pedestrians. Read more here. The routes become main streets of health-related activity, from hula classes to yoga to dancing, with opportunities for food vendors as well.

Just more bike parking. Consider making corner parking spaces into on-street bike parking. It keeps the space clear for visibility and puts it to use.

thanks for this entry! as a regular bike communter, I really appriciate this! especially with all the push for additional parking in downtown hilo. seems to me that if we made this effort for a more bike friendly town, then we wouldn’t need more parking…!
