A pool hall
I think a pool hall in downtown Hilo would be an excellent idea. The few places that have pool tables only have a few each, and nearly every time I see them, they’re all full. And I’ve heard others say it would be a great idea as well. Sell some pupus, and some good local brews (Mehana? Kona Brew Co.?) and I think you’ve got a winning deal.

There already are tables at the Hilo Town Tavern (and have been there since it was the Emerald Orchid).
My daughter took a billards class last semester at her University and really enjoyed it. When she came home she asked me if there were places with pool tables. I know there are some tables at Hilo Lanes. Are there any more in Downtown? Maybe there can be a pool hall for youth without the alcohol. Hey, maybe a few tables in the Youth Cafe that was suggested.
